Noise or Vibration IssuesUpdated 9 months ago
If you are experiencing noise or vibration with your Coway air purifier, this issue can often be resolved with simple troubleshooting steps. Please follow the instructions below:
Check the Floor Surface:
- Ensure the air purifier is placed on a smooth and even surface. An uneven surface can cause noise or vibration during operation.
Check for Foreign Objects:
- Inspect the air purifier to see if any foreign objects (e.g., pen, paper) have fallen inside. For smaller units, you can lift and give them a light shake to check for any movement of foreign objects.
Filter Maintenance:
- Regular maintenance is crucial. Clean the pre-filter every two weeks and replace the other filters as instructed in the user manual.
First Troubleshoot Step:
a) Turn off your device by holding the power button for 3 seconds and remove all the filters (Pre-filter, HEPA filter, and Carbon filter). Then, turn the device on again and check if the noise persists.
b) If the noise stops after removing the filters, clean the dust from the surface of the Pre-filter and HEPA filter before reinserting them. Regular cleaning will help prevent this issue.
Second Troubleshoot Step:
- Dust accumulation within the product can also cause noise issues. Remove the filters and gently tap various parts of the product to dislodge any trapped dust particles.
