Air Quality Indicator / Particle Sensor Does Not WorkUpdated 2 months ago

If the Air Quality Indicator (AQI) or particle sensor on your air purifier does not appear to be working correctly, please follow the steps below before contacting support.

1. Clean the particle (dust) sensor

First, please ensure that the particle sensor intake (lens area) is clean, as shown in the user manual. Dust build-up around the sensor may affect its accuracy and responsiveness.

2. Check and adjust sensor sensitivity

Depending on your device model, you may be able to adjust the particle sensor sensitivity. Please refer to your user manual for model-specific instructions.

  • Insensitive (Low sensitivity): Use this setting if the air purifier appears too responsive or frequently shows poor air quality.

  • Sensitive (High sensitivity): Use this setting if the device stays in low fan mode despite changes in air quality.

3. Perform a sensor self-check

After adjusting the sensitivity, you can perform the following checks to confirm whether the particle sensor is functioning correctly:

If the sensor seems too sensitive

  • Set the sensitivity to Low.

  • Cover the sensor inlet with clear tape.

  • Observe whether the pollution level reading decreases.

If the sensor does not seem sensitive enough

  • Set the sensitivity to High.

  • Light a candle briefly and then extinguish it, or light an incense stick.

  • Hold it near the sensor inlet and observe whether the air quality indicator responds.
