Understanding Your Air Quality Indicator & SensorUpdated 21 days ago
The LED indicator on your Coway Airmega provides real-time feedback on the air quality in your home. However, because different models have different display styles, it is important to refer to your specific manual for exact details.
1. What do the colours mean?
Most Coway models use a 4-colour system (typically Blue, Pink, Purple, and Red) to represent air quality from "Good" to "Highly Polluted."
To confirm your model's specific colour code: Please refer to the "Product Overview" or "Indications and Control Panel" section of your User Manual.
2. My light is "stuck" on one colour, is it broken?
If your air quality indicator stays on one colour (especially Red or Purple) for a long period despite the air feeling clean, the dust sensor may simply need a quick cleaning.
How to clean the sensor:
Locate the Sensor: The dust sensor is usually located on the side or back of the unit behind a small cover.
Refer to your Manual: Please check the "Cleaning and Maintenance" section of your specific User Manual for the exact cleaning procedure.
General Method: Typically, this involves gently wiping the sensor lens and inlet with a slightly damp cotton swab, followed by a dry swab to remove moisture.
Frequency: We recommend cleaning the sensor every 2 months to maintain high precision.
3. Where can I find my manual?
In the box: A printed manual was included with your device.
Online: If you have misplaced your physical copy, you can download a digital version here: https://coway.co.uk/pages/product-manual.
