Welcome to the Coway family! To get the best performance from your air purifier from day one, please follow these five essential steps:
1. Important: Remove Filter Packaging
For safety during shipping, our filters are sealed in plastic bags.
Action: Open the front/side cover, remove the filters, and take them out of the plastic bags.
Note: If the plastic is left on, the machine cannot clean the air and the motor may be damaged.
2. Check the Filter Order
For most models, the filters should be installed in this order:
GreenHEPA™ / Carbon Filter: Goes in first (closest to the fan).
Pre-Filter: The mesh frame goes in last (snaps into the cover).
3. Placement for Maximum Airflow
In the UK, we often place furniture against walls. However, your Airmega needs room to "breathe":
Keep at least 30–50cm of clear space around the air inlets.
Avoid placing the unit behind curtains, sofas, or in tight corners.
4. Start in "Auto Mode"
We recommend using Auto Mode initially. The smart sensors will detect your home's air quality and adjust the fan speed automatically.
Note: It is normal for the light to be Red or Purple for the first few minutes while the sensor calibrates.
5. Keep Your Box
We recommend keeping your original packaging for at least 30 days. This ensures that if you need to return the unit during your home trial, it can be shipped back safely.
